Description

A gigantic egg belonging to the famous Aepyornis Maximum, a now extinct bird that lived in Madagascar and famous for its eggs which are still sought after and collected by enthusiasts and experts from all over the world.
Due to its mammoth size it was also known by the common name of elephant bird.
Aesthetically, the egg is in excellent condition with a truly masterful preparation.
On one side it is possible to notice a small hole, probably created by the little Aepyornis which was trying to come to light and which was deliberately kept during the preparation of the egg.
