Description

This magnificent collector's specimen comes from the famous mines of Skardu, in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan, one of the world's most renowned sources of aquamarine variety beryl. The specimen features two aquamarine crystals of exceptional transparency and size, with well-developed terminations and a bright sky-blue color, gently tinted by natural inclusions.
The crystals rise from a matrix richly covered with lamellar muscovite, whose silvery and golden reflections contrast elegantly with the clarity of the beryl.
Aquamarine is a variety of beryl, a beryllium aluminum silicate, known for its vitreous luster and tones reminiscent of the purest ocean waters. In gemology, it is prized for its optical qualities and high transparency, making it ideal for faceting.
This specimen has not been cut or treated, preserving its natural formation. It is an ideal choice for experienced collectors, mineralogy enthusiasts, museum displays, and those seeking an impressive display piece.
