Ammolite is a stone of organic origin with a unique iridescence, coming from the nacre component of the fossils of which is formed. Sometimes it is called also with the name of ammonite, but it was born from the shells of only a few species of ammonite, i.e. Baculites compressus, Placenticeras Intercalare and Placenticeras meeki.
These kind of fossils have been found only on the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Canada, more precisely in the Bearpaw formation.
This collectors piece has one completely iridescent surface, mainly in yellow, green, orange and red, and is sold with a beautiful box protecting the piece without blocking the view of the piece.
