Description

Ammonid is an marine mollusk, extinct about 65 millions years ago, in the class of Cephalopoda.
In this beautiful specimen of ammonid, fossilized and filled with septaria, we have a big fossil of 220mm with beautifully crystallized chambers in many different colors.
It has been cut and polished to show the chambers, where the dominant colors are brown, green and yellow. There are both, full and empty chambers. The empty ones are dust color with visible shapes of crystal. The others are filled and transformed in septaria, some of which are transparent and crystallized.
