Description

Belonging to marine reptiles known as plesiosaurs, these fossil vertebrae belong specifically to the Plesiosaurus Dolichodeirus.
This reptile is very well known also thanks to the findings of complete skeletons in England dating back to the Lower Jurassic.
The body of this reptile was crushed and broad, its head small and had a long neck. He also possessed four legs which were the fins of the animal.
The first finding took place in 1821, until then there were no fossils of marine reptiles.
The vertebrae in question, coming from Morocco, have been cleaned from the sediment that has kept them for millions of years.
