Description
Sphere on backsplash obtained from a block of Madagascar jasper rich in fossil sediments.
This block was extracted from a deposit located in the south of Madagascar where numerous fossil fragments, mostly shells of the Albian period, compacted and crystallized giving rise to this rare example of Jasper.
Both the sphere and the splashback were obtained by turning the same block.
