Description
Amber Butterscotch, a variety of Amber among the rarest and most valuable known.
Unlike the most common in cognac, white, blue shades, Amber Butterscotch lends a unique color obtained from a mix of creamy yellow and milky white.
Given its rarity it is considered a must by collectors and for this reason it is also among the most expensive.
This type of Amber is found in Russia, precisely from the Kalingrad region.
The reason for its distinctive color is due to the presence of millions of tiny bubbles trapped inside the resin from the trees it once lay on. From tests carried out with an electron microscope, it has been shown that Amber Butterscotch is made up of transparent resin and millions of micro bubbles inside which, reflecting the light, return this fantastic milky color.
