Beautiful specimen of Mammosa Pseudocidaris. The excellent state of conservation shows the beauty of this sample coming from the south of Spain.
The thorns of this echinoid have been clear from the original matrix in which they were found and glued in order to give new life to this Jurassic fossil.
The fossil of the mammosa is considered the ancestor of the modern sea urchin.
