Bursidae

The name Bursidae derives from the Latin bursa or otre. Typical of warm seas are widespread in the Indopacific, Caribbean and Panamic regions.
The warty appearance gave it the appellation of Frog Shells (frog shells).
Most Bursids prefer reef habitats generally below the madreporic blocks or in sedimentary sands.
